Description
How is the 1.25″ eyepiece or the adapter clamped?
A hex socket screw presses on the compression ring. With this, you clamp the eyepiece or the connection adapter. Then you can push both into the receptacle. The matching hex key is included in the scope of delivery.
In addition, the adapter offers three further clampings at the bottom side. Thus a clamping with highest precision is carried out exactly parallel to the optical axis. The accuracy of the clamping is superior to conventional compression rings. This accurate clamping is very helpful especially for collimation of Newtonian telescopes with a laser collimator.
Helpful auxiliary threads at the telescope side:
The TS2-1S additionally provides two female threads at the bottom side:
2″ filter thread (M48x0.75, female) – with this, you can integrate 2″ filters or you can attach the adapter to M48x0.75 connections.
T2-thread (M42x0.75, female) – this thread allows attaching to T2 connections. At the same time, the adapter is a changeover from T2 to 1.25″.
