THE AUTHOR
Stavros Avgoloupis is Professor of Astronomy at the Department of Primary Education
of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has developed many research collaborations in the field of Observational Astronomy with various satellite telescope centers as well as with various universities and research centers abroad. He zealously serves the dissemination of astronomical knowledge, both with lectures and with books that are addressed not only to students but also to the general public. Member of the Board of Directors of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aristotelian Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
THE ILLUSTRATOR
Garifalia Lefteri was born in the distant galaxy A55-57, in the kingdom of the Harmless Giant. He was a wise Giant with a thick mustache . He taught her how to drive the secret green spaceship that she has hidden in her yard. And how to create imaginary worlds with her astral pencils. One day he told her: “Go to the asteroid Ifa to study Professional Translation. I need a translator for my books.” After Ifa, the next stop was the ORNERAKIS Sketch School, where she studied Illustration, Comics and Classical Animation. She also traveled to the planet Cymru, several light years away, where she studied Stop Motion Animation at the University of Glamorgan. She worked on animated films and took part in many festivals and exhibitions. He lives in the galaxy TH143 where he illustrates children’s and educational books, sells starfish, and maintains the spaceships of the Harmless Giant.
